Choose the ribbon width and roll size from the drop-down menu
Simply click on the “Customize” Button, and a new screen will open that will allow you to design your own ribbon
Upload your images, add text, and select a background ribbon color
If you add images prior to selecting the base ribbon color, you may need to drag those elements out of the ribbon content area to make your selection. After you choose your ribbon base color, you can then re-drag the elements back into the content area
When you are satisfied with your design, click the “Done” button and your custom designed ribbon will automatically be added to your cart
IF after adding your design to the cart you decide to go back and edit the design further, you MUST update the cart contents otherwise the new design elements will not be included in your ribbon design
Greek Letter Images are included in both the “Add Text” option AND the “Choose From Designs” option within the designer tool
I have been designing and printing custom ribbon for 7+ years. The most consistent issue/problem is when a customer submits a very low resolution image(s) for printing.
The print industry standard is a minimum of 300 dpi
The resolution for an “INTERNET” image is 99.9% of the time displayed in a resolution of 72 dpi
Although the internet image appears to be clear and crisp on your computer screen, this will not be the case when used for printing.
When it is actually printed, it will not be clear and crisp.
Depending on the image, it may actually be quite blurry and the image edges will be blurred.
Many times the image can still be used as the actual printing space on ribbon is small as well.
However, IF the original image is already deprecated in quality AND is also a 72 dpi resolution it most likely will not look well when printed even on ribbon.
When setting up this shop I originally set the minimum upload image resolution @ 300 dpi
From experience I accepted the simple fact that the majority of you will NOT submit 300 dpi images
Thus, I have changed the accepted resolution size for uploading images to 72 dpi
THIS MEANS THAT YOUR DESIGN MAY NOT PRINT OPTIMALLY
ONCE AGAIN, IT MAY LOOK FINE ON YOUR SCREEN BUT WHEN IT IS ACTUALLY PRINTED IT WILL NOT LOOK THE SAME. THIS IS BECAUSE THE IMAGE IS ONLY 72 DPI AND NOT THE OPTIMAL 300 DPI
THUS, IF YOU INSIST ON HAVING YOUR RIBBON PRINTED USING LOW RESOLUTION IMAGES, I WILL DO IT BUT I WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE IF YOUR RIBBON PRINTING IS NOT CLEAR AND CRISP. THIS IS ENTIRELY YOUR CHOICE.
